Kate was off at a knitting workshop most of the day (and also succeeded in getting a third iPhone -- this time for sure!). I stayed home and wrote. I wasn't as consistent as I would have liked (AIM is seductive) but I did get a thousand words down. More tomorrow.

Hi David Levine!
I am a fantasy fiction author in the UK. I'm just at that stage of trepidation as I expose my first book in this genre to the fear of sale. I found your website and am intrigued to be reading the daily journal of someone whose life is, in many ways, similar to mine. I managed 1,700 words today (yeah!). Of course I'm supposed to be hard at work on the second volume of my book series . . . so I spent today starting an new short story. I don't generally write short stories so this is quite an exciting departure for me. As a matter of fact I spend more time writing books and papers for my scholarly discipline which is Contract Law (I teach too). . . Well, it's great to "meet" you. I'll drop by again sometime to see how you're getting on.
Bye for now
