From Kate's brother
Kate got this note from her brother:

Don't let this opportunity go unrealized:

Sudden craving for pad thai and pickles? "Brain Surgery"

Caught watching "My Pretty Pony"? "Brain Surgery"

Tell everyone it was a sunflower seed you put up your nose when you were four, or an absorbed twin.

When you come out of surgery, don't recognize anyone and claim your name is Ethel Shapiro.

Happy Thanksgiving, all.

I like Kate's brother.

(And hey, d'you want a copy of Being Small? It's all about an absorbed twin...)

Have the best day, you guys. I must go and bake a butternut pie...

its a great excuse having a brain tumor to begin with... forgetting stuff, peoples names.. and then having the crainiotomy, even more excuses.. its fabulous.

I keep calling my brain tumor the Alien Implant, or my NSA chip..

I haven't been paying much attention to LJ or Facebook recently, so when Omaha mentioned this today I was blindsided by it. I'm glad to see y'all are taking this with aplomb. I know I'd be utterly freaked out by it. Thinking of you.

That made me smile. Hope it made Kate smile too.

Will continue to be thinking of you both over the next several days, and waiting anxiously for news.
